About La Surprise

An Excellent Cruiser

Designed by its architects to marry speed, simplicity and comfort.

La Surprise has all the hallmarks of an incredibly high performance 20-metre multihull.

Up or downwind, the Alibi 65 is a joy to steer and manoeuvre, even short-handed. Unlike many catamarans, she is highly responsive to steering with a fingertip sensation that the boat is alive. We bet that once you have had a taste of the helm, you will not want to hand it over!

If you ask them, the captain and the first mate will be happy to share their sailing techniques, or even to let you join in the night watches.

Cruises on La Surprise are second to none, an authentic way to travel to far-off lands and encounter little-known cultures, and enjoy interacting with people and sharing experiences – it will catch you by surprise!

With a practical modern interior, the boat is easy to move around and the fittings are cleverly designed. The living spaces are spacious and bright open to the exterior, such as the saloon, which has an all-round view and extends outdoors into the cockpit offering a shaded lounge space.  The galley is midship, which means that the guests can interact with the chef. Meals are taken in the saloon, inside, or in the shaded cockpit.

6 guests can live aboard La Surprise, in the comfort of 3 large double cabins with en suite shower rooms and air-conditioning. A 4th cabin can accommodate 2 children or 1 adult. For a day outing, La Surprise can cater to up to 20 guests.

On tailored cruises, La Surprise’s helpful crew includes a captain, first mate and a chef, ready to respond to their guests’ requests.

The chef adapts a mixture of Thai and European cuisine to the tastes of the guests, using fresh local produce.
